Say goodbye to boring, bland salads with these spicy Giant Red Mustard leaves. This variety is one of the pepperiest of the mustard leaves, tasting rather like horseradish. These colourful leaves can be enjoyed as salad leaves and in stir frys.

Mustards are a fabulous salad leaf to grow to extend the salad season into the autumn and even the winter if growing undercover. Be warned, the larger the leaves grow, the hotter they get!

Seeds should be direct sown in spring or sown undercover in late summer/early autumn. Avoid mid summer sowings as plants may bolt during hot weather. Harvest the leaves regularly.

Seed Story

Mustard greens have been consumed for over 5000 years and are native to Himalayan regions of India.

Giant Red Mustard became naturalised in Japan and it is now a commonly grown vegetable.
