A rare, vintage classic. This beautiful Italian heirloom comes from the Verona region of Northern Italy.

It has violet and green, lightly savoyed leaves and the colours become more vibrant as the temperatures get cooler.

A tasty variety that can be harvested into the winter. Not one to miss!

The cabbage seeds should be sown under cover in trays or modules in the spring. Pot on when the seedlings show their first true leaves. Harden off before planting out and leave about 45cm between plants. The seeds can also be direct sown in late spring and early summer. Harvest during autumn and winter.
