Organic Onion ‘Radar’ Sets – For Autumn Planting
£7.00
Out of stock
250g – Approx 80 sets.
We are thrilled to launch our organic onion sets for the first time!
Onion ‘Radar’ is the perfect variety for autumn planting so why not get ahead on the 2025 season by pre-ordering your organic onion sets today.
Radar has a lovely mild flavour, has exceptional storage qualities and are known for their great resistance to bolting. Better still, you can expect to harvest these around 4-6 weeks before your spring sown varieties.
The sets are available for immediate despatch but you can sow these sets anytime up to December. If you are not ready to plant when the sets arrive just keep them somewhere cool, dry and well ventilated until you are ready to sow.
If you have very wet ground you can also start them off in modules to grow on until spring or plant them into large pots or raised beds.
If planting straight into the ground they should be planted around 5-10cm apart with rows around 20-30cm apart to allow for weeding between rows.
Always plant onion sets with the pointed end facing upwards and plant to a depth of around 2cm.
It really couldn’t be easier to grow onions from set and with autumn sown sets it is one less thing to think about in spring!
**Please note any orders containing onion sets will incur an additional delivery charge of £1.50 on top of our standard delivery charge of £2.50. Discount codes will not be eligible for use on this item**
