Physalis Peruviana – 15 Seeds.       

The Cape Gooseberry produces gorgeous orange berries wrapped in their own papery lantern! One plant can deliver up to 800 fruits!

It is a herbaceous perennial but usually grown as an annual here in the UK as it is not frost hardy.

Sow the seeds in trays or modules from late winter to mid spring at 18°c. Pot on when the seedlings are large enough to handle and grow on at around 10°C – 15°C. Transfer to larger containers when the plants are strong and sturdy. They can be moved to a sunny position outside after the risk of frost has passed. The plants will need supporting as they grow.
